Travelling by car is one of the most convenient options, especially if you are travelling with ski equipment. Here are the main routes depending on your point of departure:

How to get to Baqueira Beret by car from Barcelona:

  • Leave Barcelona via the A-2 towards Lleida.
  • Continue on the A-2 until you reach the Tàrrega area.
  • Take the exit towards Agramunt/Artesa de Segre and continue on the C-
  • In Artesa de Segre, continue on the C-13 towards Tremp/Pobla de Segur.
  • Continue on the C-13 to Tremp and Pobla de Segur.
  • In Pobla, continue until you join the N-230 towards Vielha.
  • Go through the Vielha Tunnel.
  • Once you enter the Vall d’Aran, continue on the C-28 to Baqueira.

How to get to Baqueira Beret by car from Madrid:

  • Leave Madrid via the A-2 towards Guadalajara/Zaragoza.
  • Continue to Almunia de Doña Godina.
  • Take the A-23 towards Huesca.
  • Exit towards Monzón/Barbastro on the N-240.
  • Continue towards Benabarre.
  • Take the N-230 towards Vielha
  • Go through the Vielha Tunnel.
  • Once you enter the Vall d’Aran, continue on the C-28 to Baqueira.

How to get to Baqueira Beret by car from Lleida:

  • Leave Lleida on the LL-11 road and join the A-2 towards Barcelona/Tàrrega.
  • Take the exit towards Balaguer/Alfarràs and continue on the C-12.
  • In Balaguer, continue on the C-12 and then join the C-26 towards Alfarràs.
  • In Alfarràs, continue straight ahead and it becomes the N-230.
  • Follow the N-230 through Benavarri, Sopeira, Pont de Suert and finally towards Vielha.
  • Pass through the Vielha Tunnel.
  • Once in the Vall d’Aran, follow the signs to Baqueira Beret on the C-28 road.

How to get to Baqueira Beret by car from Zaragoza:

  • Leave Zaragoza on the A-23 towards Huesca.
  • Continue on the A-23 until you join the N-240 towards Barbastro/Benabarre.
  • Follow the N-240 through Barbastro and Binefar to Benabarre.
  • In Benabarre, take the N-230 towards Pont de Suert/Vielha.
  • Continue along the N-230 through Sopeira, Pont de Suert and then towards Vielha.
  • Go through the Vielha Tunnel.
  • Once in the Vall d’Aran, follow the signs for the C-28 to Baqueira Beret.

To get to Baqueira Beret by car, we recommend:

  • Check road conditions before setting off. In winter, there may be snow, ice or mandatory snow chains. Check the official traffic website.
  • Use winter tyres or snow chains.
  • Fill up your fuel tank as much as possible and carry water, an ice scraper and a blanket in your car in case of traffic delays.

How to get to Baqueira Beret by bus:

The main company connecting Vielha with different cities is ALSA, although FlixBus also operates services. Once in Vielha, you can take a local bus to Baqueira.

The Alsa office and bus stop are located at Avenida Baile Calbetó Barra, 5, 25530 in Vielha.

From Vielha, there is an internal bus that goes to Baqueira Beret. You can check the timetables on the official Vall d’Aran Tourism website.

How to get to Baqueira Beret by train:

La Vall d’Aran does not have a train station, so you will need to travel to Lleida or Zaragoza and continue your journey by bus to Vielha, and from there connect with a local bus to Baqueira.
